Exciting few weeks ahead for Alastair

BALLYMONEY'S TV and recording artist Alastair Coyles has just comfirmed some of the biggest names in country music to join him in the function rooms of the Vintage Bistro at the Ballybrakes Business Park for a Grand Cabaret and Dance on Thursday 7 October at 8pm in Aid of the Friends of the Cancer Centre in Belfast City Hospital.

Headlining the concert will be a young man Simon Donegan (10) from Newtowncunningham in County Donegal.

Simon has appeared on Hot Country which is screened on Sky Television and has released a four track CD entitled Living My Dream which is a self penned track by Simon.

The songs on the CD include The Dollar, the ever popular Charley Pride hit Crystal Chandeliers and Brown Eyes which was a John Hogan hit which Simon is joined dueting with the prince of country music on.

Alastair said: "I have had the pleasure on working with Simon on shows throughout Ireland which he charmed the crowd with his singing voice and twinkle in his eye.

"He dances while he sings and put every effort into his performance which makes him in very high demand. Simon has also been booked to appear in the home of country music which is Nashville Tenessee where in November he will be joining country legend George Hamilton 4th as his special guest on his concert tour.

"Other acts appearing are Gary Gamble which is well known for his ever popular tribute to Irish singer Daniel O'Donnell, then we have Jason Kernohan who has gained a lot of experience with touring with international Scottish singer songwriter Isla Grant and has appearred with many top names in the country music scene.

Seventeen-year-old Kenneth Neely from Dungiven will also be on stage.

"Kenneth is also a very talented musician aswell as a accomplished singer he has also had the pleasure of working with some of the biggest names in the music scene.

"Then we head to Ballycastle where home grown talent Joan Watson comes from.

"Joan has appeared alongside entertainers such as Philomena Begley, Brian Coll and many others, which she had the pleasure of singing with at the Lammas Fair In August at the stars in the yard were she brought the house down.

"Then we have Ballymoney singer Carmel McCaughern who in daytime is a rapid response nurse and at night she sings at all functions and has given her time on many of occasion for charity concerts, etc.

"Carmel would sing at weddings services, etc and has a newly released Gospel album entitled Be Not Afraid which is a inspirational album of Carmel's favourite and much requested hymns.

"Compere on the evening will be Cowboy Larry from Radio Star, the backing band on the night will be Ireland's Music Man Steve Farlow who's one man show is a real treat.

"Steve can make the sound of country music come alive with his big band sound and state of the art lighting and sound system.

"Steve has also had the pleasure on supporting country legend Moe Bandy on his Tour of Ireland a few years ago.
