George Best City is the B-side to the new single from Unquiet Nights, led by Lurgan lad Luke Mathers who has relocated to Italy, living in Umbria with his girlfriend Michela.

Constellations of She is the first single from Unquiet Nights since the release of their debut album 21st Century Redemption Songs, which the band toured in nine countries. However, it’s been the B-side that’s been getting more publicity after the George Best Foundation shared a BBC Radio Ulster broadcast of it on their Facebook page, and propelled it around the globe.

It’s a great song in its own right, which Luke explains is about home comforts.

“I live in Italy but I still consider Northern Ireland to be my home,” he said.

“I do a fair bit of travelling and this is about coming home to things that are familiar. The song has gone pretty viral, which we’re happy about.”

Rodger Firmin has had to leave the band due to other commitments, though an able replacement has been found in the shape of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ drummer Steve Ferrone. Luke said: “It’s a collaboration which the band found impossible to resist, when it turned out that the rock and roll hall of famer was a friend of a friend.”
