Lough Neagh and its Waterways is calling foodies to celebrate the wonder of our waters at an exclusive cookery school, hosted by celebrity chef Paula McIntyre, during the hugely popular River to Lough Festival.

The unique River to Lough Festival will be basking in the lavish surroundings of Antrim Castle Gardens on Saturday, July 2, and Paula, who is no stranger to creating delicious dishes, has created a mouthwatering menu for foodies to make and enjoy.

You can come along and roll your sleeves up learning the art of cooking, preparing and serving Lough Neagh Eels which have been awarded PGI (protected geographical indication) status for their heritage, tradition and authenticity because eels are tasty.

The exclusive menu includes another Northern Ireland product with PGI status, the Comber potato.

The pretty plate will consist of Lough Neagh smoked eel with griddled soda farls, Comber Earlies potato salad, grilled scallions and horseradish salad cream.

No meal is complete without dessert so Paula will be showing budding chefs how to candy Bramley apples and serve with shortcake and honeycomb cream.
