Family band's new CD release

MID-ULSTER musician Brendan Quinn and his family band have just released a great new three track CD.

All tracks on the CD features Brendan’s sister Philomena

Philomena Quinn is no stranger to the music business, having been involved from an early age in her local dramatic society and then singing with The Malachy Doris Band in the late 50s and early 60s.

Her love of music by people such as Connie Francis and Brenda Lee led her form her own country band ‘The Gamblers’ in the late 70s going on to release two very successful albums.

Philomena retired from the from the business a number of years ago, but got together with her brothers Brendan and Sean, along with Brendan’s two sons Stephen and James to form The Brendan Quinn Family Band.

This CD captures Philomena’s unique singing style and her powerful voice, as witnessed on the first track ‘I Think I’ll Say Goodbye’.

The two other tracks on the Cd are ‘My Mother’s Bible’ and a duet with Brendan entitled ‘My Heart Cries For You’. Listen out for Philomena Quinn on radio.
