With less than four weeks to go, there’s still time to join in this epic challenge, and make a real difference to the lives of terminally-ill people and their families.

Taking place on Saturday, May 16 at 9.30am, this scenic climb is sure to be both challenging and rewarding, as the route takes on an ascent of between 6 and 8 miles.

Popular with groups of friends and work colleagues, it is perfect for those who enjoy stepping outside their comfort zone and trying something new.

One of the most significant fundraising events in the calendar, this year the Hospice Walk campaign aims to raise £110,000, which is needed to help support the annual fundraising target of over £6 million. And this year, the appeal is extra special because we hope, with the public’s support, to raise additional funds that will help complete the rebuild of our hospice at Somerton Road.

To register for the Mourne Mountains Trek go to nihospice.org or call 028 9077 7123.

Please note that there is a registration fee of £30. This will include a Hospice t-shirt and hot refreshments on return. There is also a minimum sponsorship amount of £100 to be raised.
