Homelessness can happen to anyone, and more and more people are finding themselves without a roof over their head.

“It’s a scandal that so many people here registered as homeless in last year – over 19,000. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. More and more people are on the verge of becoming homeless.

“The brilliant work of the Simon Community is so important in raising awareness and in providing vital services to people who find themselves without a home. I wanted to put my money where my mouth is to help shine a light on this growing problem.”

Chief Executive of the Simon Community Northern Ireland, Jim Dennison said:

“It is a worrying reality that so many people consider homelessness to be someone else’s problem and that it can’t happen to them. Shocking statistics show that many of us are much closer to the breadline than we think.

“Simon Community provides life-changing and often life-saving accommodation and homeless prevention services. We are delighted to have Paddy on board to help us raise much needed funds to develop these services”.
