Fashion and food fundraiser

The Ross Park Hotel will be the venue on Thursday, April 21, at 7.30pm for the event which is being held in aid of NI Children’s Hospice.

Organiser Claire O’Connell from Tildarg Primary School and her colleagues guarantee a great night’s craic, with drinks reception on arrival and refreshments later in the evening.

Claire said: “This event will raise vital funds for Children’s Hospice Services in the local area.

“A close colleague’s young relative and her family received specialist care and support both at Children’s Hospice in Newtownabbey and from the Specialist Community Nursing teams at home. We just felt we wanted to do something to support the family and the Children’s Hospice.

“We are delighted to have the culinary skills of Jenny Bristow and the fashions know-how of Joli’s which together will Spring us into Summer. Tickets are available at £15 and we expect a full house.”

Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice Community Fundraiser Catherine O’Hara said: “On behalf of everyone at Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, I would like thank Claire and her colleagues at Tildarg Primary School. The Spring into Summer Show is a brilliant concept and we are delighted that our very own star baker, Jenny Bristow is supporting the event.

“Every pound raised will have a positive impact in ensuring the services we provide continue for the children, young people and their families using our specialist services.

“Last year, we cared for 300 life-limited children living in Northern Ireland. With very little Government funding, we depend on the generosity of people in the local area who are unbelievably generous.”

NI Children’s Hospice provides respite and end of life care for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. Practical, emotional and bereavement support is also provided for the whole family.
