The film is proving popular with big groups of women who are planning a fun night out with friends and maybe a few cocktails and a meal in the Jet Centre’s Diner Restaurant.

“The tickets actually went on sale back before Christmas and there were hundreds sold as Christmas gifts”, says said centre manager Wanda Donnan.

“In recent weeks, the pace has picked up even more and there is a steady stream of sales online. The audience seems to be mainly female but we don’t want to put the men off!

“It’s great to see so much excitement for this film and it’s creating a buzz in the centre as we look forward to a really busy period.

“The start of the year has been really strong for film choice with movies like The Theory of Everything, American Sniper, Kingsman and Big Hero 6 attracting good audiences,” Wanda added.

Fifty Shades of Grey – which is rated 18 – tells the story of literature student Anastasia Steele as her life changes forever when she meets handsome, yet tormented, billionaire Christian Grey. So if you have got your tickets yet for the film of the year you’d better hurry!
