A 23-year-old woman from Ballymena is featuring in a new BBC dating programme.

Michaela Best from the town is one of six singletons in tv show ‘Pretty Single’, from the makers of Beauty Queen and Single which is airing on BBC Northern Ireland on Monday nights.

Afterwards the whole series will be available on BBC iPlayer including Michaela’s episode.

The six-part series, which starts on Monday at 10,45pm, sees six image conscious singletons ditch their make-up to try and find a love connection that’s more than skin deep.

Each week, six girls from Northern Ireland and Scotland – Patricia, Mando, Ali, Sean, Michaela and Pamela – embrace a unique dating experience going on five dates with five different guys, completely make-up free.

The remaining women watch the dates unfold from the comfort of their sofa – providing supportive and humorous commentary throughout.

Narrated by Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Pretty Single strips away the mask of make-up to help the girls find their naturally beautiful happily-ever-after.
