Film screening kicks off Community Relations Week

Coleraine Borough Council will be hosting a film, screening at Flowerfield Arts Centre as part of this year’s Community Relations Week.

Good Relations Week runs from Monday May 20 to Sunday May 26.

On Monday, May 20, the film “Tapestry of Colours” will be shown as part of the week long celebration which aims to promote a shared society.

The screening is free and everyone is welcome to come along. The documentary feature film about the fusion of colours and ethnic groups in Northern Ireland, features personal and moving interviews with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures, set against colourful and unusual festivals with a strong emphasis on music.

Reactions to the film have been strong, with viewers describing it as ‘wonderfully inspiring and most enjoyable – a fabulous piece of art’. Others have commented that the film takes the viewer on an ‘emotional rollercoaster’, one that ‘reached right into the heart of the audience’.
