Five local pubs shortlisted

Four pubs in Portrush and one in Coleraine have been shortlisted across five separate award categories to be amongst 38 shortlisted premises from right across Northern Ireland that will go head to head to be named the toast of the trade at the top industry Awards next month.

In Portrush The Cellar Bar has been shortlisted in the Best Charity Event category whilst The Harbour Bistro has been shortlisted for Best Food while Willie Gregg of the Harbour Bar is up for Barperson of the Year and Kiwi’s Brew Bar is up for Best New or Improved.

The Railway Arms in Coleraine has been shortlisted for the prestigious Pub of the Year award and Clare Johnston from the Railway Arms has been shortlisted for Barperson of the Year.

Winners of the ten award categories – including the much sought after Pub of the Year title – will be revealed at a special gala awards night hosted by Cool FM breakfast show host, Pete Snodden, at La Mon Hotel and Country Club on Wednesday, November 12.
