Flower power

KILREA Women's Institute's annual Flower Show will be held at Kilrea Primary School on Saturday, September 4.

Final preparations for the show were made at the August meeting of the Institute.

Mr Creighton Hutchinson will officially open the show at 2pm. Proceeds will this year be donated to Parkinson’s UK, Causeway Branch.

Classes will include flowers, flower arranging, fruit and vegetables, home baking and preserves, home industries, art and craft. There will also be a number of children’s classes.

Entries will be accepted on the Friday night between 7pm and 9pm and on Saturday morning from 8.30am to 11am. Admission is 1, children 20p.
