Foo Fighters will headline Slane gig

Foo Fighters will headline Slane Castle on Saturday, May 30 along with special guests Kaiser Chiefs, Hozier, plus more acts to be announced.

Foo Fighters sold 300,000 tickets in the UK last Friday, which include 160,000 tickets across two sold out shows at Wembley Stadium.

Sonic Highways, their eighth studio album released to critical acclaim on November 10.

It was recorded in eight different musical capital cities of America, with the process and related experiences documented in an eight-part docuseries.

Kaiser Chiefs returned with their fifth studio album ‘Education, Education, Education and War’ last May, which went to Number One in the UK charts.

Kaiser Chiefs will also join Foo Fighters as special guests in South Africa in December and South America in January. Kaiser Chiefs have sold over three million albums in the UK and over a million singles including their hits ‘I Predict A Riot’ and ‘Ruby’.

Hozier released his debut Number One album last September. It is still at number four in album charts nine weeks later. Hozier’s sold out Irish shows kick off next week. His 20 date US tour in February and March including shows at The Beacon Theatre and Hammerstein Ballroom in New York are all sold out.

Tickets priced €79.50 go on sale at 9am on Monday, December 1 from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide. As always the concert is subject to license being granted.
