Fourth of July Festival for Coleraine

Unfurl the Stars and Stripes and get ready to tuck into Apple Pie...Coleraine is set to host its first Fourth of July Festival next month.

The Festival will be organised by the Somerset Residents Association and will mark America’s National Day of Independence.

The Association successfully applied to Causeway Coast and Glens Council for a festival grant and now wish to involve the entire community from the Somerset area in two major events.

The first of these will be an American-themed Country Night held in the Lodge Hotel, Coleraine, on Thursday, July 2.

Dancers from the Victoria Lagan School of Dance will open the show and there will also be a not-to-be-missed performance from the inimitable.

There will also be a disco and the organisers are hoping that as many people as possible turn up in American dress.

Tickets cost £5 and can be obtained from the Lodge Hotel or from Tracy McCrudden on 07522082089.
