THE newly restored and refurbished Old Town Hall in Banbridge will welcome a unique triple bill of songwriting talent as three of Northern Ireland’s finest singer-songwriters unite for a special ‘In the Round’ show on Saturday 16 June from 4pm to 6pm.

Bap Kennedy, Anthony Toner and Ben Glover will perform an intimate acoustic show sharing songs, harmonies and stories from life on the road. Expect some great banter, top-drawer material and fine playing.

Bap Kennedy has been picking up incredible airplay critical acclaim with his new album, ‘The Sailor’s Revenge’ which was produced by former Dire Straits front man Mark Knopfler. The new material adds depth and strength to a back catalogue that already includes some amazing material including ‘Moonlight Kiss’, ‘Lover Man’ to name but a few.

Anthony Toner has been wowing audiences far and wide with his particular brand of melodic acoustic song-writing. Having gained a very positive response with his latest release, ‘A Light Below the Door’, the album follows a string of radio successes with his composition, Sailortown, becoming one of Northern Ireland radio’s most requested songs.

Acclaimed performer Ben Glover has been compared to Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams and David Gray. However, he has a dynamic style very much his own. Ben has already produced three albums in collaboration with the likes of Vince Gill, Buddy Miller, Jim Lauderdale and Mary Gauthier. Having recently relocated to Nashville, his latest release ‘Before The Birds’, produced by Neilson Hubbard, has further established his growing international reputation.

Although this not-to-be-missed show can be enjoyed for free, it is essential that tickets are booked in advance from the F.E. McWilliam Gallery and Studio on 4062 3322 as spaces are limited.

This special event, which takes place one week before Banbridge BuskFest on Saturday 23 June, is being promoted as part of the town’s popular busking festival.
