Fresh singer-songwriter talent plays Cellar Bar

At just 22 years-old, Morris has played hundred of gigs and has released four solo EPs. He has received support from the BBC Introducing and 6Music.

The singer from Lincolnshire has supported Erik Mongrain, Andy McKee, Frank Turner, Seth Lakeman, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Jim Bob (Carter USM), legendary Philadelphia soul groups The Stylistics and The Three Degrees, and revered folk veterans Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick and gigs regularly with old friend, Ed Sheeran.

He launched his solo career aged 17 after starting to explore the possibilities of the acoustic instrument. Elliott taps the strings and beats the guitar’s body to create an intricate spectacle, together with an original and unique sound integral his songs.

He has had a collaborative single hit number one on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart and his fourth solo reached 11 on the same chart, the record receiving plenty of airplay on the radio.

On 10 May, just two days before he plays The Cellar, Elliot will launch a new YouTube video series of live recordings. He will be uploading a new live performance on to the website every week followed by releasing a free live acoustic EP that will be available in the summer.
