Fundraiser for suicide charities this Friday

THE Clyde Bar in Coleraine is to hold a special fundraiser to help raise awareness of suicide in our community this Friday night, March 7.

The public is being invited to come along and support the event which will raise funds for Console and The Lighthouse, Belfast.

Local Elvis impersonator, Andy Rogers, has very generously donated his time free of charge and will entertain patrons with some of the King’s greatest hits throughout the evening.

There will also be a light supper served and a raffle.

All donations will be gratefully received and the night’s entertainment will begin at 8pm.

Console was established in 2002 by Paul Kelly after he had experienced the grief of losing a loved one by suicide.

Since then Console has developed into a national organisation supporting people in suicidal crisis and those bereaved by suicide through professional counselling, support and helpline services.

It has centres in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Kerry, Athlone, Wexford, Mayo and Kildare.

death.

It provides support services to families who have lost loved ones and for individuals who are in crisis.

Please support this very special evening for two very worthwhile charities.
