That’s why the new Day Today convenience store in Galgorm has proved an instant hit with customers.

Formerly XL Stop & Shop, the premises have been substantially extended to make way for a bigger range of groceries and household necessities at recession busting prices.

As well as stocking all the well-known branded products which customers expect to find in a modern mini-market, Day Today’s own brands offer many essentials for £1 or less.

Packs of ‘Today’s’ kitchen foil and cling film can be picked up for just one pound, for example, or what about a four-pack of toilet tissue for just 89p or a 750ml bottle of bleach at 60p.

Strong promotional offers on products throughout the store are changed every three weeks – and the offers currently include such bargains as a Tayto crisps six-pack for £1, a 64-packof Pampers wipes for £1 and Lenor 500ml also for just £1.

And, starting from today, shoppers who spend £30 or more on groceries in the store will get £5 off their next grocery bill.

Whether you need a little or a lot, Day Today at Galgorm Court can sort out your shopping list – and they’re open seven days a week from 6am-10pm daily.

Fresh, chilled and frozen foods are all stocked, as are household goods, cards and gifts, daily newspapers and magazines, stationery and tobacco products, ice-cream and sweets – both in traditional jars and pic-n-mix.

For those on the go and in need of a tasty snack, tea, coffee and freshly-made sandwiches can also be picked up in flash.

You can even get your mobile top-ups and pay your utility bills in-store and, in a few weeks’ time, you’ll be able to access free cash withdrawals when Galgorm’s Day Today takes delivery of an in-store ATM.

Owner Robert Hutchinson says: “We have always been renowned for how well the shop looks and how friendly the staff are and that’s why customers keep coming back.

“Now they can enjoy an even bigger shop with a wider range, more variety and great value promotions that will help make their money go further.”
