Garden Club meeting

Rev Sam Millar, a member of the Maghera and District Gardening Group was the guest speaker at Ballymena Garden Club’s October meeting.

In addition to his interest in gardening Sam is a beekeeper who, while visiting his relatives on New Zealand’s South Island, spends time assisting local beekeepers and bee inspectors as well as absorbing the local horticultural scene.

In his talk Sam subtly blended his interest in travelling, gardening and beekeeping to produce an informative presentation.

The next meeting will be held on Monday 3rd November at 7.30 pm in Houston’s Mill, Broughshane when the speaker will be Cairan Mulholland, lecturer at the Greenmount Campus of CAFRE whose topic will be; “Plant and enjoy your Garden”
