Garryduff Community Festival

GARRYDUFF Ulster-Scots Community Festival is being run this month.

On Thursday, June 24 in the Independent Orange Hall, Edward Street there will be a Ulster-Scots Language evening with Ballymoney Ullans Speakers Association.

There will be a history of the Lambeg with Ballymoney Fife and Drumming Club plus music by Blazing Bellows Accordion Group. Doors open at 8pm.

Meanwhile there will also be a Liberals, Orangemen and Unionists event on Friday, June 25 in the Independent Orange Hall from 8pm. This includes a history of Orangeism in the Ballymoney area from 1880 to 1914 by Mr Alex Blair.

Traditional Ulster Scots music will be provided by William Campbell (bagpipes) and Matthew Sloan (fiddle).

Finally a Festival of Music, Song and Dance will be held on Saturday, June 26 at Castlecroft, Main Street, Ballymoney from 1.30pm until 5pm.

Blue Belles Scottish Country Dancers, Ballymoney Fife and Drumming Club and Traditional Ulster Scots Music will be on show.

Free admission to all events.
