The fundraiser, at Portadown’s Seagoe Hotel, is being organised by the MS Society Portadown Craigavon & Lurgan Branch.

The have teamed up with one of Ireland’s top Garth Brooks tribute acts – Johnny Brooks - to provide a great night’s entertainment in aid of the MS Society.

The Garth Brooks Tribute Show will take place on Saturday 31st October at the Seagoe Hotel from 9pm to late.

Tickets are just £10 and all the proceeds will be used to support local families affected by MS.

Eugene O’Hare, MS Society Portadown Craigavon and Lurgan Branch, said: “We’re really looking forward to the Garth Brooks Tribute Show which promises to be a fantastic night filled with great music and lots of good craic.

“Johnny Brooks is a top performer so we’re delighted that he has agreed to play for this fundraiser.

“All the money raised will go directly to supporting local people living with MS.

“Our branch provides vital services including information, yoga and exercise classes and emotional support for everyone affected by MS.

“When I was diagnosed with MS the branch support really made a difference to me so it’s important to me that we keep fundraising for this important local charity.

“MS can get steadily worse, or symptoms can come and go unpredictably throughout your life. That’s why it is so important that the branch is here to provide support when people need it.

“I’d like to encourage everyone to come along, enjoy the music and show your support for local people living with MS. There will also be a raffle with some great prizes. Everyone is welcome.”

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a condition of the central nervous system. There are 4500 people living with MS in Northern Ireland – one of the highest rates in the world.

MS can get steadily worse, or remain unpredictable throughout your life – one day you can be fine, the next you might lose your sight or be unable to move.
