Get your tickets for double bill

AFTER the overwhelming success of MADS production of The Sound of Music, MADS junior/teenage section will now produce The Jungle Book and Pocahontas in a double bill show.

The role of Mowgli in the Jungle Book will be played by Rhys Lawlor and Dylan Breen. Rhys is aged eight and attends St Patricks Primary School, Aghacommon and Dylan is aged 10 and attends Tannaghmore Primary School.

The role of Pocahontas will be played by Erin Tennyson and Orlagh Shanks. Erin is aged 15 and attends Lismore Comprehensive School, Craigavon. Erin is currently undertaking GCSE drama. Orlagh is also aged 15 and attends St. Michael’s Secondary School, Lurgan. Like Erin, Orlagh is also undertaking GCSE drama.

Barry McCrory, spokesperson, commented: “All the cast have been working very hard during rehearsals. Whilst the shows musical director Caitriona Corr has been working with the children with regards to the singing and the choreographers Emma Watson and Claire McMahon have been overseeing the dancing aspect of the production.”

The show will open on Friday, June 1 at 7pm and will continue on Saturday, June 2 at 3pm. There will be two performances on Sunday, June 3 with a 3pm and 7pm start.
