Getting set for Glee

A FORMIDABLE cast has been put together for MADS! production of 'Glee in Concert' next month.

The drama society has enlisted almost 40 teenagers to take to the stage with many of them seasoned performers.

Show producer Kieran Corr said: "I am absolutely delighted with the cast we have got together for ‘Glee in Concert’. We had a fantastic cast last year for our smash hit production of 'Les Miserables' and I'm delighted to say that the four main principal girls who starred in that production will be major performers for our Glee show.”

Eimear O’Neill, who performed as Fantine, Sarah Jane Owens, who performed as Mme Thenardier, Kirstie King, who performed as Cosette and Caitriona Corr, who performed as Eponine, have shown true commitment to the drama society over the years and have starred in many major roles. The entire production team is delighted that these four girls along with some very talented newcomers will be able to perform in this production.

The entire cast have been working hard over the Easter holidays to make sure that the show is up to the usual high standard associated with MADS!

Choreographers Emma Watson, Helen McCrory and Megan McGrath have put together some fantastic song and dance routines for this show. The male cast will also perform a Beyonce 'Single Ladies' dance choreographed by Helen which is very entertaining.

Glee is without doubt the most popular television programme of 2010 and because of this ticket sales to date have been fantastic.
