Gigs to promote local artists at Love Coffee

LOVE Coffee in Gardiner’s Court is hosting a series of concerts over the next few weeks.

The acoustic ‘Spring Sessions’ take place on Thursday nights from 7.30pm to 10pm, with music from 8pm to 8.40pm and again from 8.55pm to 9.30pm.

Owner Ben Nelson said: “We like to keep each night separated by a week off to keep people interested and to give an opportunity to promote each artist.

“Unlike playing in most coffee shops, Love Coffee offers artists the opportunity to really engage your audience, you won’t be ignored in a corner - artists are asked to prepare for this like as if it were a concert.”

Alana Henderson is the musician in residence this Thursday.

On May 9 Patrick Gardiner performs and on May 23 music comes from Kat Hepworth.
