Find out the answers to all of these questions and more at Go Batty at Ardress House on Friday, August 7, from 7.30pm.

With the help of a bat specialist, discover more about the exciting lives of these elusive little creatures. Venture out into the grounds of Ardress House, Annaghmore as the sunlight begins to fade and watch the bats emerge from their roosts in the buildings. The whole family, especially the children will find tracking down the real live bats thrilling, using bat detecting equipment to identify the different species seen swooping around in the twilight.

What better place to catch a glimpse of these captivating creatures than at Ardress House where many of the eight species found in Northern Ireland have been recorded living in the buildings and surrounding parkland. With species such as the surprisingly small pipistrelle to the unusual brown long eared bat in residence, it is sure to be a fascinating and fun evening for all ages.

As the evening draws to a close the children will have the opportunity to get creative and make something batty to take home.
