KENNY Archer, Northern Ireland’s very own yodelling and country music champion is set for a series of concerts across the country over the coming months.

Having come home to help his ill father on the family farm near Coalisland, Co Tyrone he entered the radio competition and the rest as they say is history. Kenny’s musical career was launched and has gone from strength to strength, he regularly sells out in local venues across the country and audiences cannot get enough of his unique blend of good old time country music, yodelling and of course the craic!

On stage Kenny is not joking when he tell audiences that his most loyal fan is a champion cow called Bubbles. He serenades her regularly on the farm and she has gone on to claim the UK female title holder from the Blonde Pedigree Cattle Society, he firmly believes that the singing and yodelling has a calming and relaxing effect on Bubbles and her 30 companions in the field!. In fact he is sure it helps with breeding too as they have presented him with 15 happy and healthy calves to date and several more on the way. He has even written a ballad just for Bubbles and friends entitled Blondes in the Byre which features in his concerts!

But Kenny appeals to humans too and the evidence is in the packed concerts up and down the Country. Don’t miss your chance to see the show on Thursday 10 November at the Iveagh Movie Studios, Banbridge. For bookings call 4066 2666 or visit www.iveagh.com.
