The presentation took place after Jordan performed his only full live concert date in Belfast on Saturday night, at a memorial concert for Oscar. The brave little five-year-old boy who captured the hearts across the country as he fought the illness neuroblastoma, which sadly took his life earlier this year.

The event was a fundraiser for The Childrens Hospice and raised £6,000 for charity.

Overjoyed with the success of the concert, Jordan found himself lost for words when, after his performance, he was presented with a little Christmas card which Oscar had written before his death.

On social media Jordan described the card as ‘the best present ever’.

He said that the Christmas card from the brave little tot and the Knox family had made him feel emotional.

Despite admitting to being heartbroken by Oscar’s untimely death, nevertheless he felt inspired by what Oscar had achieved in his short life.

He commented: “I was honoured to play at Oscars memorial event on Saturday night. Hundreds and hundreds of people came out to celebrate what his life meant and I will never forget him.”

He continued: “Oscar’s parents Stephen and Leona give me a little Christmas card which Oscar wrote to me and in my car afterwards I felt very emotional. Really special credit must go to Stephen and Leona, too, for the dignified way they have dealt with everything. They may have lost their son but I reckon they have saved hundreds of children through the awareness and fundraising.”

Meanwhile, Chris Hughes, Jordan’s manager, also responsible for organising the Oscar Knox Appeal, said: “We introduced Jordan to Oscar at Belfast City Hall before his big break on Britain’s Got Talent last year and they really hit it off. I was so impressed with Jordan’s compassion towards Oscar and I know how much of an impact Oscars death had on him. He was heartbroken.”
