Great prize opportunity at the Playhouse

The Playhouse is starting celebrations early for City of Culture 2013 by giving one lucky customer free entry to any events in their Spring 2013 programme!

Anyone on The Playhouse mailing list is in with a chance to win the extraordinary prize, which is being launched with the theatre’s new look Autumn / Winter 2012 brochure.

The September to December brochure is out now, with a line up that includes the eagerly awaited Field Day production directed by and starring Stephen Rea, musician Damien Dempsey and the return of the ever popular Big Tickle Comedy Festival!

The brand new brochure will be kicked off in style by comedians Shappi Khorsandi, Colin Murphy, Hardeep Singh Kohli, and Seann Walsh at the Big Tickle Comedy Festival in September.

A new Playhouse production of Brendan Beehan’s Borstal Boy, Fringe Benefit’s production of Charles Dickens’ Nichols Nickleby, and a brand new production by Big Telly Theatre Company are just some of the other exciting theatre events to follow at the award winning theatre.

Audiences can then take their pick of opera, ghost stories, jazz and even more comedy throughout the season, as well several local theatre companies, including Marvel Arts Theatre Company, Pettigo based Borderline Players, and Strabane’s PuddleAlley Players. More local talent will also be showcased with the first ever One-Act Amateur Drama Festival, which will take to the stage of The Playhouse over three days in late November.

Tickets for the highly anticipated Field Day production, ‘Farewell’ by Clare Dwyer-Hogg are also on sale. Rea will direct and perform in the production in December.
