Dunluce has developed a reputation in recent years of producing high standard musicals and this year promises to be no exception.

Following on from last year’s ‘Annie,’, the staff and pupils are hoping they will be able to present this funny, vibrant and toe tapping modern classic

to packed houses.

Most people will be familiar with the 2007 movie starring John Travolta as Edna Turnblad, mother of our heroine, Tracy. Sticking with tradition, Edna will be played by a boy in the Dunluce version.

The pupils are looking forward to this year’s show as it is full of spectacular dancing, hilarious jokes and, of course a sixties style songbook.

In fact, we are promised that by the spectacular finale, audiences will feel like dancing in the aisles to ‘You Can’t Stop the Beat.’

Tickets are priced at £7 for adults and £5 for 16 and under.

They are currently available and can be obtained by calling to the school office.
