Hallowe’en in Portballintrae

THIS year’s annual Hallowe’en Happenings in Portballintrae will take place on Friday 28th October.

An extensive programme has been planned in the Village Hall from 2pm, with face painting, games, children’s entertainers Babcock & Bobbins, a fancy dress parade and refreshments. As the event is not fully funded this year, there will be an admission charge of £2 per child.

In the evening a drums and lantern parade will leave the Village Hall at 7.15 and proceed to the Bayview Hotel for the spectacular firework display over the bay. This will be followed by live music in the hotel, featuring John McGrath.

A Craft Fair in the Village Hall on Saturday 29th will provide an excellent opportunity to purchase locally-made gifts for Christmas.

The programme has been arranged by the Portballintrae Residents’ Association, who are grateful to Trevor Kane of the Bayview Hotel for once again sponsoring the fireworks and Coleraine Borough Council and DCAL for grant aid.
