Hibfest on Derry’s Walls

The Ancient Order of Hibernians will hold a commemorative procession on the Derry Walls at 1.30pm on Sunday, June 23.

The procession is to commemorate the procession that was also held on the walls and throughout the city in 1912 and is part of the wider City of Culture celebrations in Derry this year.

The AOH are very clear that this year’s event is a commemorative event and as such will reflect modern day circumstances and realities and will therefore be confined to the City Walls and the Foyle Street area where the AOH Headquarters are located.

“HibsFest” is a four day festival which will include headline act Frances Black in concert on Saturday night.
