Historical and Archaeological Society meeting

THE Ballintoy and District Local Historical and Archaeological Society will be holding a general meeting on the 25 March.

Archaeologist Thomas McErlean, BA (QUB); FSA, Centre for Maritime Archaeology - University of Ulster at Coleraine, will be the guest speaker at the meeting.

He is a very highly respected and well known marine archaeologist whose research interests include Foreshore Archaeology, Coastal Settlement and Resources, Medieval Landscape Organisation and the Archaeology of Parks and Gardens amongst others.

The Society has been very fortunate to have such an excellent first guest speaker and a very interesting and informative night can be guaranteed!

Light refreshments in the from of a cup of tea and biscuits will be provided on the night.

The meeting starts at 8pm sharp in Ballintoy Parish Hall on the Whitepark Road.

* Membership forms for the Society will be available on the night and anyone wishing to become a member of the Society is asked to complete one of these forms.

* Membership will be 10 per person per year, usually 1 April - 31 March.

* Non-members are very welcome but are asked to donate 2.
