Irish sounds at the Riverside Theatre

And this week sees a continuation of that successful formula with the appearance in the Theatre of two splendid acts – singer Dominic Kirwan and a great evening of Jazz produced by locally-based trumpeter Rick Swann.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, Dominic’s show ‘My Ireland’ is sure to get the toes tapping. His shows always leave a a wonderful atmosphere amongst the audience and everybody leaves wanting to return to his next show.

Next Wednesday, September 25, the Riverside welcomes back Jazz trumpeter Rick Swann and his fabulous band, who will be performing an evening dedicated to the career of Ella Fitzgerald.

Coming straight in from recording his debut album ‘Legacy’ (to be released early 2014) Rick celebrates the life and music of the great Ella Fitzgerald. With everything from swing to hard-hitting bebop scat this night is expected to be the freshest, most exciting Jazz, Blues and Bebop show of 2013.In a career that spanned six decades, Miss Fitzgerald stood above the emotional fray of the scores of popular standards she performed.
