Produced by Roy Rainey at Upstream Recordings, vocalist Janice Anderson’s CD mixes classic and contemporary layers.

Arguably the most familiar track will be ‘He Gave Me The Well’ which was released by Janice as a single last summer and is still one of the most requested songs on ‘Count Your Blessings’ on Radio North each Sunday.

The voice behind that popular show is of course Ballymena’s very own Martin Moore.

One of Janice’s biggest supporters, Martin wrote the melodic number ‘Trust Him’ especially for her recording.

Janice is also thrilled that Mark Carmichael, another songwriter with Ballymena roots has also contributed to her LP by composing the heartfelt ‘All I Ever Want To Do’ and ‘Just A Breath Away.’

She says: “I have been singing for a long time but have never been the sort of person to push myself to the front. I felt that the Lord was calling me to use my talents on a solo project and released an EP called ‘I Pledge Allegiance’ a number of years ago.”

“Since getting to know Martin Moore and the rest of the Count Your Blessings family and becoming involved in the Gospel concert scene, I have been encouraged to record a full gospel album.

“Making the CD has been both a challenging and pleasurable experience – certainly a learning curve”, adds Janice.

Much-admired songstress, Mildred Rainey appears on Janice’s album as a backing vocalist, as do Liz Wilson, Martin Moore and Mark Carmichael.

All of these performers will be appearing at a launch event for ‘Then Came The Morning’ in Portstewart Town Hall on June 25, at 7.45pm. Copies of the CD will be available to buy on the night, priced £10.
