Joefest returns

THE popular Lurgan music spectacular known as Joefest returns on Saturday, June 5.

The fifth incarnation of Joefest is in support of the NI Hospice and the Parkinson's Disease Society.

Nearly 2,000 was raised for charity through the Fa' Joe's winterfest and the organisers are hoping to keep up the good work.

Bar owner and Joefest supremo Jeff Morrow said: "We hope to get another two grand, though people are finding it tougher with less money to go around.

"There's live entertainment from 1pm to 1am and admission is free. All donations are most welcome with two worthy charities set to benefit.

"There's a limited number of Joefest T-shirts available and there will be a raffle on the day with some great prizes."

Prizes include a Home Camera System, a 26 inch TV, a Fa' Joe's mirror, His and Hers coats, six bottles of wine and a Nintendo DS. Raffle tickets are available over the bar.

The full line-up for Joefest is as follows: 1pm Just Because, 2pm MDA, 3pm The Red Hot Roosters, 4.30pm Anthony Glakin, 6pm Shawn 'n' Courtnay, 7.30pm Signed By Jeff, 9pm Mojokelt, 10.30pm Crowbar Blues, 12midnight Seldom Seen.

Jeff thanked the bands and sponsors including Dalziels and Glen Millar.
