This year’s competition is open to Solo Singers, Duets, Groups and you must copy a famous popstar/group or you can copy a famous principal character from any musical. The winner will receive £100 and there is also prizes for the top five acts.

Show producer Kieran Corr said: “We had a great final last year in which Dairine McCaughley from Derrymacash won performing as ‘Christine Daae’ from the musical ‘The Phantom of the Opera’.

“This competition is a great opportunity for young people to perform on the stage and pretend to be one of their pop or musical hero.

“It always proves to be a fun night. I wish all acts the best of luck at the audition process and the competition is open to anyone who is between 10 and 14 years old at the date of the auditions.”
