The local club’s members submitted 55 images for the three categories; Colour Print, Black & White Print and Digital Image which were judged by NIPA’s Ian Lyons on September 20.

Mr Lyons said the overall stand was very good and he selected three entries to go forward to the

main competition.

The Club’s acting chair, Sheila Rooney, said she was delighted with the response to their first competition of the new season.

She said: “We only reopened after our summer break a couple of weeks ago, so to be able to enter over 50 images in the first round of this competition so soon after reopening is very good.

“Several of the entries were from new members of the club too, which is extremely encouraging.”
