Last chance to see play

THIS weekend is the last chance to see Moyraverty Arts and Drama Society perform the family classic The Sound of Music.

The cast have already performed the show three times last weekend and judging by the audience reaction and the standing ovations the cast received the show is another success for MADS.

A member of the audience commented: “I took my daughter to see the show and I was overwhelmed with the performance.

“The new improved centre also looks fabulous. Congratulations to all involved.”

Barry McCrory, spokesperson, commented: “The downstairs section of the centre re-opened last Friday evening and the performance of the cast in this show is superb.”

Show producer Kieran Corr said: “We are delighted that MADS stalwarts such as Jonathan McGuinness, Caitriona Corr, Laura Robinson, Aaron Murphy, Eimear O’Neill, Michael Murray and Connor Smith are performing in this show and they bring lots of experience and talent to the roles that they play.

“The future is certainly bright for MADS.

“We have so many talented young/teenage members taking to the stage in this show and for the upcoming productions of Pocahontas and The Jungle Book.

“The cast have worked really hard at rehearsals over the last few weeks and we are delighted with the performances of all the cast.”

The Sound of Music will be performed this Friday evening at 7.30pm, Saturday at the later time of 8.45pm and ends on Sunday at 7.30pm.
