Held in Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company’s dance studio based in Bishop Street, it is the perfect location to drop off the kids and get time to do the Christmas shopping.

Echo Echo Development Officer, Sarah Bryden said: “Echo Echo has a strong focus on dance and movement for children through our popular weekly kids classes. The company tried out the Christmas in Space idea last year to great feedback, now we’re based in the city centre it will be even more convenient for busy mums and dads.”

So why Christmas in Space?

Dancer Ayesha Mailey explained the idea: “We wanted to do something different for children around the Christmas theme- something a bit wacky, creative and fun. The workshop will be a great opportunity for children to dance and get creative. We’ll bring our ideas to life using movement and music, storytelling and artwork, and explore what Christmas would be like in Outer Space!”

Christmas in Space dance and play sessions will take place on Fridays 9th and 16th December from 4.30pm to 6.30pm and on Saturday, December 10 and 17, from 3pm to 6pm. The sessions will be in the Echo Echo Dance Studio, 13 Bishop Street, and cost £6 for Friday and £9 for Saturday. Family deals are available.
