Learn funky street dancing for Halloween Parade

CHILDREN and young people can learn a funky street dance to perform in the Halloween Parade this year. Classes started last Saturday and run during half –term for participants to get ready for the Halloween Parade.

Tura Arutura, director of The Hip Hop Academy, Belfast, will teach the classes. For those aged 8 – 11, street dance workshops run Thursday 28 and Friday 29 October, 11am - 1pm and Saturday 30 October. 10am - 1pm. For those aged 12 plus, workshops are on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 October, 1pm - 3pm and on Saturday 30 October, 10am - 1pm. Those who are already experienced dancers can come along on Friday 29th October, 5.30pm – 7.30pm and take part in the final rehearsal on Saturday 30 October, 10am - 1pm.

The venue for the classes is Sheskburn Recreation Centre. Street dance participants are asked to commit to all dance sessions and to performing in the Halloween Parade. Please telephone 028 2076 3300 to book a place.
