Less to pay when kids play at leisure centre

BANBRIDGE Leisure Centre is cutting the cost of its soft play area to £1 from the start of September until the end of November.

If you hold a Leisure Pass which automatically entitles you to a discount, you can save an extra 80p per session for a child under five-years-old or £1.50 for a child over five. Parents who don’t hold a Leisure Pass can make an even bigger saving.

Speaking about the promotion, Council Head of Leisure Services, Ben Corr, said: “The Igloo soft play area is a popular attraction within the centre. The three-level soft play area, which contains tunnels, slides, a ball pit, a rope bridge, climbing nets, bash bags and balance boards, offers an exciting and stimulating play experience for children aged three months to eight years. We trialled this offer throughout the summer and as it was so popular, we’re now extending it until November.”

The Igloo soft play area is open Monday to Thursday from 9.30am to 5.30pm and Friday from 9.30am to 1.30pm. Sessions last one hour and children using the soft play area must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Although not included in the promotion, the soft play area also provides a crèche service for parents who want to enjoy a class, go for a swim or work out in the fitness suite.

The crèche service is available Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 1.30pm. Children aged three months to four years can be left with qualified staff in the soft play area up to a maximum of two hours. Places are limited and provided on a first come, first served basis.
