Lisburn band added to Vital line-up

LISBURN band Rams Pocket Radio will be following up their appearance at Belsonic this week by taking to the stage at Tennent’s Vital next week.

Rams Pocket Radio, aka singer songwriter Peter McAuley will be gracing ‘The Next Stage’ during the two day festival, along with other up and coming bands including A Plastic Rose, Yes Cadets, Wonder Villains and The Original Rudeboys.

The Next Stage will be a platform for some of the most promising new music talent from Northern Ireland and beyond. The stage, jointly curated by The Oh Yeah Centre and BBC Introducing in Northern Ireland, will host 5 bands per day on both days of Tennent’s Vital which takes place on August 23 and 24 at Ward Park in Bangor.

BBC NI will stream all the action from the second stage live on their website. They will also be broadcasting highlights of both the main stage and The Next Stage on BBC Introducing and Across The Line on BBC Radio Ulster and online in the weeks following the festival. Renowned for their support of new and emerging music, BBC NI are a perfect partner to help programme this stage which puts local talent on a global platform.

With their unique insight into the musical setup of the area, The Oh Yeah Centre, in association with Third Bar Artist Development, were asked to help programme some fresh talent to support the international line up for Tennent’s Vital 2011.
