Lisburn band to perform at Belfast Tattoo

It has been revealed that Lisburn Young Defenders Flute Band will be performing at this year’s Belfast Tattoo, which will be held at the Odyssey Arena in September.

Drumlough Pipe Band will also be performing at this year’s event.

The Belfast Tattoo returns with over 600 performers, and will showcase some of the finest marching bands, musicians, and dancers from across Ulster and beyond, in a two hour show, building up to the Grand Finale of the Massed Pipe And Drums.

The Band Of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines, who are world-renowned for their musicianship and precision marching performance, will be the headline act for 2015.

Other highlights for the 2015 Belfast Tattoo include an 80-strong dance troupe of Highland dancers and Irish dancers, performing to a piece of music specially written for this event.

2015 sees the introduction of a Matinee performance on Saturday afternoon, and a Family Ticket is also available to purchase for the Matinee.

The 2015 Belfast Tattoo will contain a packed list of international, as well as local performers. Belfast will welcome Drum And Showband – Adest Musica from the Netherlands and Storici Sbandieratori Delle Contrade Di Cori from Italy.

The Tattoo will take place on September 4 and 5 at 8pm, as well as a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets are on sale now from all usual outlets.
