Live music nights continue at Hagues

LIVE music nights will continue at Alexanders Bar in Lisburn on Saturday June 26, with local band MojoFury treating the crowd to a special unplugged evening.

They will be joined on the night by another local band Like Statues, as well as Naoimh O'Hagan and Northern Lights.

MojoFury are four young local men who've been honing their musical craft for many years. To date, the band have toured all over the country and supported the likes of Biffy Clyro, Forward Russia, Hell Is For Heroes and The Cooper Temple Clause. Now they are readying themselves for a string of UK dates and also preparing to release their debut album later in the year.

They would like to play the music they've been writing together in lands beyond their emerald isle, influenced but by no means engulfed by a shared love of the weird and the wonderful.

Hillsborough/Lisburn four-piece Like Statues, who formed in late 2009, will also be taking to the stage. The band consists of four friends, all who have worked together musically in one way or another, who each individually bring alot to the sound. With a huge range of influences the band together create something unique and explosive and hope to be gracing stages in Northern Ireland as soon as possible to spread the music among the masses.

Singer songwriter Naoimh O'Hagan has been playing guitar since she was a child. She has been writing her own material for many years and has recently been recording in Mollah Rouge Studios in Manchester.

Northern Lights, aka Darren Doherty, completes the line up. Darren, who is also part of Belfast based band Tapasia cites a wide range of musical influences, including Josh Ritter, Tom Petty and Glen Hansard.

Doors open on the night at 8.30pm and admission is 4.
