London treat for local performing art pupils

CHILDREN from the Belfast School of Performing Arts, which also has a base in Lisburn, recently visited London to see the musical epic ‘Les Miserables’, in advance of open auditions for the school’s Summer Youth Project production of the classic show.

The children from the school’s Lisburn, Belfast, Ballymena and Omagh schools, were taken on a back stage tour of the Queen’s Theatre and even got a chance to try on some of the costumes!

The school is holding open auditions for its summer project production of the musical epic ‘Les Miserables’, open to children aged 11 to 19. The project will be rehearsed and run over three weeks in August from 10am-5pm daily, finishing in several performances of the show in a local theatre.
