Lots of Skullduggery

Friday 4th February in Ballymoney Town Hall sees the appearance of local band Skullduggery, taking the stage to promote and launch their eagerly awaited debut album '12 Mile'.

Skullduggery are a live seven-piece Ulster-Scots folk band consisting of local artists with vast musical and performing experience. Since their formation just over a year ago, the band has gained much support and applause for their arrangements and delivery of traditional music. The aim of the band is to promote provincial folk music to a wider audience by putting their own stamp on traditional Ulster-Scots music without depleting the essence, history and culture. Although the group have travelled the length and breadth of the province, it was the band's decision to launch the new album in their native north Antrim where, in Ballymoney in particular, support is growing rapidly, much to Skullduggery's appreciation. A band spokesman said, 'The decision to launch '12 Mile' in Ballymoney was easy as the Ulster-Scots culture is alive and vibrant in this area. Afterthesuccess of our EP of Caledonia and Carrickfergus, which werefrequently playedon FuseFM, we decided to make this album'. On the night of the concert, the band will be playing all the favourites from Caledonia, Go Lassie Go, to I'll tell my Ma, along with original songs from the album. A superb night is in store for both young and old, with theSkullduggery boys being joined by top local marching band Crown Defenders Cloughmills and Junior World Champion pipe drummer Ryan Martin along with members of Cullybackey Pipe Band.

The concert will start at 8pm sharp with doors opening 7.15pm
