Love parks week

TO celebrate the annual UK wide Love Parks Week campaign Craigavon Borough Council has arranged a number of activities for all the family to enjoy in some of the local picturesque parks and green spaces throughout the Borough.

Love Parks Week campaign runs from July 21-27 and there will be plenty of entertainment going on throughout the parks to keep the whole family entertained.

Beginning with a Family Kite Building workshop on Saturday, July 21, in Lurgan Park from 10.30am, learn to design, build and paint your own kite. The workshop will be held at the Pavilion with a charge of £10 per family.

Learn about herbs and plants, planting and looking after them with the Little Green Fingers workshop on Tuesday, July 24, at 10am in Edenvilla Park’s Secret Garden, Portadown.

At 10am on July 26 the activity flies over to Lurgan Park with the Junior Bird-Watching Club for 7-12 year olds. Learn about the colouring and habitant of a variety of different birds.
