Lush! 14th birthday

THE mighty Lush! Portrush will celebrate 14 years of weekly clubbing on Saturday, March 13.

Who would have thought way back in March 1996 that the then 'rave' at Kelly's Portrush would be guided under the careful hands of Alan Simpson (now BBC Radio Ulster) and resident DJ/promoter Col Hamilton to one of the best and most talked about clubs on the planet.

Lush! has won more awards than you could shake a Grammy at and was the first club in Ireland to bring the Legendary Radio 1 Essential Mix "live" broadcast to these shores way back in 1997 with Pete Tong.
