LIFE has never been busier for local soprano and singing tutor Lynne McAllister.

Lynne is no stranger to the theatre having appeared as a special guest in concerts with Les Miserables star Peter Corry and with Joanna Ampil who played the role of Kim in Miss Saigon in addition to her own previous one woman concerts.

She is overjoyed to be returning to the Baby Grand to perform her latest concert which will contain a show-stopping medley of musical theatre songs including 'I Dreamed a Dream ' and 'Don't Rain On My Parade' given a recent performance twist in the popular television series 'Glee'.

Vocally trained in London with Mary Hammond, Head of Musical Theatre, Royal Academy of Music, Lynne's vocal range and versatility has led to many appearances in leading roles with Northern Ireland's music societies, including Lisburn's own Lisnagarvey Operatic.

She is understandably nervous but excited about planning and recording her first CD, from which some of the material will be performed at her concert.

Lynne has performed duets with quite a few West End leading men but has decided she will stay a little closer to home on this occasion and has persuaded her husband, Brian Trainor, to appear with her this time.

Brian has recently completed a production of 'Beauty and the Beast' at the Grand Opera House playing the role of Lumiere, the flame throwing French candlestick. Looking forward to performing once again with his wife on stage, Brian joked: "I only hope my performance in the concert sets people on fire as much as my recent role."

Tickets can be booked via the Grand Opera House Box Office on 9024 1919, in person at the Box Office in the theatre foyer or online at www.goh.co.uk.
