Jamie, who will be away from June 30 to July 7, said: “We are going to attempt to rebuild the church in that small town as nearly 88% are atheist. We will do this by bringing them some Irish fellowship with street cleans, park makeovers, Irish nights and fun days with local kids.”

Jamie added that fundraising is vital to the Mission: “Fundraising is very hard by itself, unfortunately our fund-raising target was increased to £600 per person at the start of June, adding another £300 from the original target.

“Please help me over-fundraise my target on https://www.justgiving.com/Jamie-Shields or donate via text with ‘Txt GERM99 £?’ to 70070’. Any donations would make a real difference. Thank You!”
